9. Kids Yahoo http://kids.yahoo.com/ is a useful site designed especially for children. There are two different searches that you can do on this page.
1. Type the name of your country into the 'World Factbook Search' box. There will be all sorts of relevant information including maps, flags and a brief history in easy to understand language.
2.There is another search box at the top, right hand side of the screen. This will redirect you to a web search that and to government sites that may be complex. You may not find the results as satisfactory as your first search!

10. Kids National Geographic http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/kids/places/find/ has information on some of the countries that you may be researching, Click on either the Asia or Australia section to find your country. This site has lots of other information and fun activities to do and play... so don't get distracted from the task of researching your country.



11. Fact Monster, http://www.factmonster.com/countries.html is a website specifically designed for children so the information will be appropriate. It has information on a large selection of countries that are arranged in alphabetical order. It has facts, flags, maps and lots of information. There is also tempting links and advertising on the page....so again, don't get distracted!

13. Oxfam's Cool Planet, http://www.oxfam.org.uk/coolplanet/kidsweb/world/index.htm has information about some of the countries in which they do charity work. This site has great fact files and a lot of information to work through. You will need to refer to your plan and think about what information you wish to include in your assignment and discard the information you don't need.

14.Academic Kids, World fact Book http://academickids.com/world/index.html is a bit old but still has some relevant information. Countries are arranged alphabetically. Find and click on your country. There is some advertising! You know what to do about that...ignore it!


15. The CIA World Factbook at https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/wfbExt/region_eas.html is an American site that has lots of information. It does have brief facts that could be useful, however when you click on these facts, they expand to reveal in depth, complicated explanations about that particular aspect of the country. Most of the information is designed for older people and can be difficult to understand. I would only use this site if you were having difficulty finding any information on your country at all!
